Tell us a bit about your background

I was a journalist for most of my career, starting with B2B tech magazines and working my way up the ranks to Editor. During the dotcom boom I edited a digital marketing magazine; it was a very exciting time and gave me the opportunity to travel extensively. Following this I spent several years in Australia editing various publications, and when children came along, I started freelance writing - Marketing Fusion were actually one of my clients so I’m delighted to be joining the team.

What has been your career highlight so far?

Working in Sydney as an Editor - it was an exciting time and offered an amazing lifestyle.

Favourite client project and why?

One of Marketing Fusion’s clients is a legal technology company. It’s a totally new industry to me and I’m enjoying learning the language and culture of the sector.

What exciting projects do you have coming up?

Marketing Fusion have big plans for their internal marketing so I’m excited to help bring their ideas to fruition.

What qualities do you bring to the Marketing Fusion team?

I come from a tech background, so I know how to put myself into the reader’s shoes and humanise dry content. My editorial experience has given me keen eye for detail as well as the ability to write for a broad range of forms and purposes.

What attracted you to working for Marketing Fusion?

Having worked for MF as a freelancer, I already liked their professionalism and content-driven focus. They are a lovely team to work with.

If you could take Marketing Fusion on a team building day, where would you go?

This may surprise the team, but an outdoor water obstacle course! It’s not something I’ve done before – it would definitely push everyone beyond their comfort zone and break down any inhibitions.

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?

When I was living in Australia, I once rode on the back of a Hell’s Angels’ Harley Davidson down the Pacific Highway for a press event, dressed in evening wear – a truly wild and unforgettable experience!

If you could enter the Bake Off, what would your signature bake be?

I’d create a spectacular Malteser cake, with gooey honeycomb in the middle and decorated all over with chocolate and Maltesers.
